Autism Focused Intervention Resources and Modules (AFIRM)

Autism Focused Intervention Resources & Modules (AFIRM) is an extension of the National Professional Development Center (NPDC) on Autism Spectrum Disorder.  The free modules include case examples that demonstrate behavior or practice in use, audio and video clips, and interactive assessments.  The intent is to teach the step-by-step process for planning, using, and monitoring a number of evidence-based practices with individuals with autism (0-22).  Additional modules are under development. Check the AFIRM site for new additions or register with them for email updates.

Note:  You MUST select the “Start Certificate Track” when registering for a module.  The system will not allow you to change tracks.  A certificate is necessary to receive SCEIs CEU credit.  In order to receive a certificate you must complete a pre-assessment, a post-assessment (with a passing score of 70 or above), and an evaluation survey of the module.

SCEIs CEU hours will be awarded in Area 2 (Children with Disabilities and Their Families). The number of hours will vary by module.  Submit the module completion certificate and Continuing Education Documentation Form to Project SCEIs following the directions found on the form.
